Some jobs require entry into a small space to access equipment for service. The Occupational Safety and Health Act, or OSHA, defines a confined space as a space that has limited openings for entry and exit, is not intended for human occupancy and is large enough to enter and conduct work.
Russell Reid employs a group of service technicians who have been specially trained to perform work in small spaces. These experts have also been certified for this type of work according to OSHA confined space entry specifications. OSHA stipulates that workers who will be entering confined spaces be educated about ventilation, communication, emergency protocol, hazard recognition, permit systems, proper use and maintenance of safety equipment, First Aid, CPR and symptoms of exposure to harmful substances.
The safety of our workers is as important to us as the quality of our work. Russell Reid employs strict procedures to ensure work is performed correctly and safely.
